JCPenney Associate Kiosk Not Working

Thousands of JCPenney associates and employees use the Associate Kiosk every day for information, work schedules, and several other useful tools. With so many people relying on this website,

It’s obviously troublesome if someone can’t access the website. So what can you do if the JCPenney Associate Kiosk isn’t working?

First, remember that there’s no need to panic. This is a very important website and JCPenney ensures that it operates without a hitch. The website works on a robust infrastructure. As such, it is rather rare for this website to go down.

Therefore, if you can’t access the JCPenney kiosk or believe it’s not working, here are a few steps to take to ensure that everything is as it should be.

A simple way to check if the website is working is to use multiple devices. For example, if it’s not working on your computer, you might want to try opening the website (www.jcpassociates.com) on your mobile phone. It’s very likely that the website will work on one of the devices.

This is also a good way to get around the problem if the JCPenney associate kiosk isn’t working due to connectivity issues with your internet connection.

You can also consider checking this through online services like DownDetector, or isup.me. These websites are tools that require you to enter a website for checking. Then they check if the entered website is working at different locations. This way, you can know if it’s a problem specific to you, or if the Associate Kiosk is really not working.

Or, do it the old-fashioned way! Check with other associates or people you know at the store and see if they too are having a problem with accessing the Kiosk.

If the problem is specific to you, try these suggestions to fix the problem:

  • Check if your internet connection is working
  • Update your browser or operating system (if an update is available)
  • Clear the cache and cookies from your browser
  • Check if your computer’s firewall or antivirus software are blocking you from accessing the portal.

How Much Does JCPenney Pay?

JCPenney is a large department store chain with hundreds of stores and thousands of employees in the USA. So, what are the monetary benefits for the employees and what can you expect when working for JCPenney?

Given that any large organization has several positions and different payments, it’s difficult to point out an exact number. Besides, JCPenney, like with most businesses, doesn’t make its employee pay public.

So, how much the company pays is data generally collected from reports made by people working for the company, job postings, and other similar sources.

According to the popular job posting portal Indeed, the hourly pay for a support specialist at JCPenney averages to about $10.12 per hour. Going up the ladder, a controller could earn almost $30 an hour, while a lead engineer could earn an average $72 per hour, which translates to an annual salary of $143,148.

According to another well-known website Glassdoor, the average salary of a lead engineer at JCPenney would be in the range of $107K-$168K. Cashiers can expect to earn in the range of $25K-$32K, though the average is closer to $28K.

Similarly, Retail Sales Associates can earn $32K-$46K, while a Customer Service associate would have to make do with $27K-$35K.

In a more general context, the median salary at JCPenney would be somewhere around $28K annually, translating into something like $13 per hour.

Keep in mind, the numbers here are indicative and can vary depending on several factors including location of a store. And as you can guess, entry-level jobs or those with a lower skill requirement don’t pay a lot.

Meanwhile, JCPenney does appear to pay handsomely for skilled jobs or those that require more experience and specific skills.

JCP Benefits

JCPenney is a large company and has upwards of 90,000 people working at the company. With such a huge workforce, the company offers various benefits that might be beneficial to the employees.

In fact, the benefits offered by JCPenney can be quite substantial and include retirement plans, health insurance, employee discounts and more. Employees can take advantage of this offering by visiting the company’s benefits website.

When on the benefits portal, employees can manage their insurance, or get information on various aspects like current benefits, coverage levels, and various other facilities.

To do those things and check your benefits, you’ll have to visit the JCP Benefits portal. There are two ways to access this information.

A simple way is to access JCPenney Associate Information website and use the benefit contact information or check the electronic W-2 form.

More detailed information is available by using the JCPenney Associate Kiosk @ Home option from the Associate Information website. This will require you to login with your username and password. Once the login is successful, you can look at the detailed information for your JCP benefits.

This portal is an important tool for JCPenney associates. Apart from benefits, it also has information on other categories. An important example is JTime, which allows associates to check their shifts, working hours, schedules, and more.

However, JCPenney doesn’t limit the prospects to this general method. The company also has a dedicated portal to deal with JCPbeneifts (www.jcpbenefits.com). Using this website too requires a username and password to login and access or manipulate the relevant information. .

While having multiple websites isn’t really necessary in this case, the availability of options makes it easier for associates and employees to check their JCPbenefits.

JTime JCP

JCP JTime is a useful tool available to JCPenny associates. This tool can be used for a variety of purposes, but as the name suggests, it has more to do with associates managing their time.

JTime includes information on employee or associate shifts, working hours, absence, holidays, and more. So, for employees, this portal and the JTime system can be quite useful. The portal also serves as an easy way for the company to manage its thousands of employees and handle their requirements.

To access JTime, you will have to start with a login to the JCPenney Kiosk portal. When you visit the website, you’ll see sections for Employee ID, Active Associates, and Former Associates. The section for former associates, is for ex-employees of the company, who might still need some information and documentation.

To continue to JTime, focus on the “Active Associates” section and look for the option “Associate Kiosk @ Home”. This is usually the first option under Active Associates, but it is useful to read before continuing!

Once you tap or click on the link, it will take you to a login page. Enter your username and password, then click on the login button.

Here, the username can be your specific choice if you have used or generated one, or you could also use your nine digit Employee ID number as the username. The password is whatever you set, and should be unique and difficult to guess.

After the login is successful, a new screen will show up. Choose the My Jtime Launchpad option on this screen.

And just like that, you’ll find yourself in the JTime Launchpad. This useful tool offers many options, including the ability to check your work schedule, see your shifts and request changes if necessary, and see vacations and holidays.

For many associates, this is valuable information and having it in one spot makes managing things easier. Also, with the ability to see the schedule and request changes, you might be able to better manage your time and be prepared for your shifts.

When viewing the work schedule, JCP JTime lets you select a date range of your choice. You can also view any specific date or view the schedule for the week.

JCPenney Kiosk Associate Schedule

JCPenney is a large business with hundreds of stores and thousands of employees. So, there is obviously a need to better manage and disseminate information to the employees and other stakeholders in the company.

This includes several important aspects of working with the company, including checking the associate schedule.

The simplest way to do this is by visiting the JCPenney Associate Kiosk website. This website opens as a simple page, with options for finding your employee ID, and a section each for current associates and former associates.

To view their schedule, Active Associates should select the option “Associate Kiosk @ Home”. Clicking on this option will take you to a login page for the JCPenny website. Alternatively, you can visit the login page directly by following this link

The login page is a bland, dated-looking page with boxes that need your username and password. Enter this information and press the login button. In case you have forgotten your password, choose the option/link on the side titled “Forgot My Password and Vendor Password Changes”.

Clicking on this option will take you to a new page, where you’ll start with your employee ID number to set a new password.

Once you have a password, go back to the login page and enter your credentials.

After a successful login, you will be able to check your associate schedule. To do so, click on the tab that says “My JTime”.

When this tab opens, select the option or click on the link for “weekly schedule”. Clicking on this link will show your weekly schedule at JCPenny. Apart from viewing the current week and schedule, the website also lets you see previous weeks and their schedule.

This is a rather simple and elegant way for associates to see their schedule on the JCPenny website.

Interestingly, JCPenny’s associates website lets associates do a lot more than simply view the schedule. Associates can also submit a request to change their schedule where relevant, This requires the selection of the day and the desired action.

For example, associates can request a change in the schedule or time off. You’ll also be required to enter a reason for the requested schedule change.

On the same page, associates can also set up alerts for when their schedule/shift comes up. These alerts can be sent via email or text message, depending on user preferences.
