JCPenneyPowerLine.com is the brainchild of JCPenney, that was created back in 2009, so that its army of more than 100,000 employees can easily access information such as their: pay stubs, employee benefits, 401(k), leaves, work schedules, taxes, etc.; from office or outside of the office. The move was important because JCPenney needed a system that could maintain an extremely high standard of communication (given the sheer number of employees).
What do you get from JCPenneyPowerLine as an employee
Aon Hewitt manages the affairs of JCPenneyPowerLine.com and in the words of their Vice–President “Besides presenting general employee benefits, the website can provide links directly to the Sedgwick system so participants can get their case status (…), links in the medical space to the carrier website, where they complete their personal health assessment and (…) do a warm transfer to a tier 2 call center advocate who will serve as a guide, walking them through their benefits.”
What that means is you’ll have access to: healthcare and health related breaks; 401(k) loans; check balances; you can report life crisis and get support against your 401(k) plan through your “tier 2” services; retirement application and its benefits; etc.
